Akala Island’s Beach, the seclusion of the southern beaches was always a warm welcome to the bird, it was an easy get away, and easy breathing location, an easy mind calmer. Today, was not one of those days. The loud clanking of a rock smashing against a metal lock echoed on the beach, the sound near deafening to surrounding sands.
“COME. ON. YOU. STUPID. BOX!!”
The bird yelled out with each clank, not even leaving a dent in the lock, attached to it a large wooden chest, far too thick and heavy for him to open with a weapon or carry it any further, and it was clearly dragged through the sands, from where anyone’s guess was just as good. The craftsmanship of the chest was old, one could easily assume it was some pirate’s buried treasured if the engravings were not as intricate and detailed, each carving was purposely placed in to emulate the seas this chest had once been on, it would be a true lost to loose the artwork of it, the rusted copper cast held a gold plate with the phrase “Memórias da Espada” on the front.
What could be inside? Would anyone be able to open it? Even if he couldn’t now, the bird still held onto the rock, slamming it again and again, the awful noise was sure to annoying anyone lurking in the near by woods or beaches.
